You beat me to it by just minutes.  It's got Heisenberg Mopar written all over it.

Just needs a High impact paint job & a wing on the back, would be a cool tow package.

It was a very "upscale" motorhome for it's day.  "Big Willie" had one with a homemade Daytona Wing on it that he used as a tow vehicle for a time.  I personally have always thought they looked great, and had my eye on one here in the valley, but one motorhome at a time is enough for me.........

Kind of attractive but it just screams 1972.

Kinda ugly......

Until one compares it to other motorhomes of that time :scratchchin:......then....I kinda like it.

Of course it helps when I considered my standard "go to" when faced with something large, needing good power and help with MPG....

Cummins swap!! :yesnod:

Interesting rig!!

Actually looked at one very much like it years ago. A bit more $$$ then I was willing to pay, ended up with a Ram Wagon. Not the best handling, and mpg sucked......but one of the best ways to separate your kids so they don't fight. That's priceless.

IIRC....not much room inside, but would be a lot easier to park then one of the full size RVs. Would make a very comfortable cruiser. A lot of potential......would make a great shagging wagon.

It's a great idea :2thumbs:

Re-318......you sure it's an fi motor? Think fi was first used here.....maybe 89?

Would a 318 tow? :scratchchin:

How patient are you?  :shruggy:

I could do it......because I'm pretty mellow and think ahead, leave early to avoid traffic, relax and go after the crowd leaves. It would be a big help if the roads are mostly flat you plan to travel.

But.....it's gonna be a slug/sloth/snail. :yesnod:

The rig looks in great shape......maybe a 360 swap makes sense? If the price is reasonable, a 360 would help a lot. Or a stoker kit in a 318 would come out as 390ci or so....that'd solve the lack of toque problems. IIRC, 440's were available for a couple of years in the B-van. You go that route, you could also show the hauler too! :coolgleamA:

All depends on what $$$$$ you'd get into it and your budget.....I like the idea and that would be a cool way to go in Mopar style. :2thumbs:

The main problem with old Dodge vans is the lack of footwell room on the right side. If you want to take a passenger, you either have to saw one of their legs off or hang one out the window.

Used to roll around back in the day in a 73 Dodge van and it was either feet out the window or on the dash for the passenger....

I'm working on getting this 71 Dodge Travco as a traveling "Barn Find Hunting" rig.

Cool rigs! :2thumbs:

DRWs would tow better.......

Travco would be awesome.......with an L-series[10 liters] Think that's the smallest you can get a true Jake brake.

Ahhh.....can you tell I'm also into Cummins? :icon_smile_big:
