neutral safty switch

Can the nuetral safety switch be put on 180 out?  The problem I'm having is that I can start my rig in nuetral but not in park.

You might have to lengthen your linkage just a bit under the car
Your gear shifter handle is coming to the end of its slot but the transmission lever could go a little farther to make the switch work

Also, check for worn/missing plastic bushings in the shift linkage...it's not uncommon for one to fall out and cause slop in the linkage.

Well you were correct.  Unhooked the linkage and there was still some travel in the lever. Starts In park now.
