I can not stand the Dentist.  I am worse than a 5yr old.  The only reason I go is to keep the wife happy. 

She is bent on the fact that I have cavities.  Reason being is due to the fact of lack of maintenance if you will.  Well just got back from my annual 3yr cleaning and all is well.  If fact the Doc said " You are one of those people that will only need a cleaning every six months (I laughed at that) and will be good for a very long time".  Well my wife doesn't believe the guy and wants a second opinion.     Let's say she is a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to the teeth.  And I must admit she has perfect teeth.  I guess I got to start taking better care of them seeing this is the last set I get.  Although I have a few extra due to my big mouth    That's right I got all my wisdom teeth in tact and not bothering a thing


How many lovers of the teeth do we have here??

I hate visiting the dentist too. They always clean all the plaque out of my lower front teeth, then I can't seem to keep my tongue off them for months! I don't think I've been to a dentist in 10 years...although I believe I may have a cavity in a molar coming on, so that streak is gonna end soon.

I still have all my teeth too, so far...see?

I go every 4 months for a cleaning since I can never remember to floss. My lower teeth are a bit crowded, so flossing is a PITA. The hygenist usually reprimands me for my laziness, so I get even by eating garlic bread & raw onions before I go.

Going to the dentist is no big deal though, & hasn't been a problem for me since I was about 6 or 7 years old. I got the NOS treatment back then & threw up in the cab going home because I had eaten something just before I went.

I kinda like my teeth.  The thought of "gumming" a steak kinda makes me sick.

I figure it is easier to maintain them with minimal effort, and visit the dentist 3 times a year than to go through root canals, tooth extractions or dentures.

I am keeping my teeth for life.

Teeth are one of the few things in life that if you ignore them, they'll go away.

This is what  I've got to work with    its better than gums.
Take care of what you've got and they'll last a lift time.

Tell your wife to believe it. I am the same way I have not had a cavity EVER. My dentist has said that my gums would rot out before my teeth would decay.

Some people get cavities but have good gums, some people have good teeth and rotten gums.

If I could sue a dentist, I would.  My old (notice that word) always said we'll have to keep an eye on that.  Year after year after year.  Then I went to college and never saw a dentist until I was married.  Went to a new dentist and guess what 3 root canals.  My keep an eye on that had lead to major internal decay.  Boy I was mad. 
I now have 4 gold crowns, floss regularly, use listerine and of coarse brush.  1 root canal was bad, 2nd one was worse because you knew what was going to happen, third one I insisted that I get some gas.  Nothing like the sound of a tool the size of your hair running in and out of your tooth, it was enought to make me crazy.  Then you have the pain, why do teeth have to hurt so damn much?
To top it off, I had one root job done where the nerve was left exposed, after the novicane wore off I was actually going crazy.  My wife knew something was up and followed me ou tto the garage where she cuaght me with some pliers, I was going to pull the tooth myself.  She rushed me back to the dentist where they injected the nerve with novicane and did some work and put a temp cap on it.  I truely believe you can bleed from the ears and nose from pain becuase I did, at least my nose.  You NEVER want a tooth nerve exposed and NEVER EVER want novicane injected directly on it, it feels like you just swolled a torch.

I have busted out all four of my front uppers several times.  I keep having to have them rebuilt.

Flossing with thumbs...not that is funny.

I do not like dentists much, but my family dentist is pretty cool. And I do believe in taking care of them, I dont want dentures anytime soon

Just keep doing enough Crystal Meth, and eventually you'll never have to go to the dentist again.
