I used to own a mopar because it was different, but now I know better.

Gotta wonder what was wrong with the rest of the car to cut it up like that with seemingly nice quarters  :shruggy:
Black Betty:  1969 Charger R/T - X9 440 six pack, TKO600 5 speed, 3.73 Dana 60.
Sinnamon:  1969 Charger R/T - T5 440, 727, 3.23 8 3/4 high school sweetheart.

Probably a head on collision or front corner.

He also has a hemi for sale in another ad, wonder if it was from the same car? Would like to see the number on drip rail and engine block.

Yeah, you have to wonder.  It could have been totalled on the other side.  :shruggy:

He has both sides listed. Real puzzle.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Ghoste

Oh I thought it was just the one.  I first thought it was a rebody remnant but he has a Hemi to sell too so I don't know what to make of it.

Could have been a stolen car.  :shruggy:

I thought about this too. If it was a crashed car it would be better to cut away the destroyed areas and leave the rest as intact as possible.

I have seen some posts by unlucky car enthusiasts who have had their cars stolen and the body later found in weirdly cut pieces. I don't see much profit that could be made by cutting a rare body to pieces but maybe its just for getting rid of the evidence. I guess the chop shops don't always operate logically.

Maybe the seller has purchased the remains from some insurance company?

F8-4life

Maybe you could dig a hole and stick it in the ground in a way, so it looks like you have a whole charger underground.
Would be a great conversation/art piece.

rest of the pictures  :yesnod:  looks like a 3/8" fuel line too , although don't mean much in its self  :scratchchin:

These two quarter panels are a better start on a restoration project than what some folks here started with!

Are you talking about my project?  :icon_smile_big:

I'm willing to bet my pay check that it's some poor guys car that was stolen and cut up unless the center section is there with the VIN to prove it I wouldn't put a dime on that bid. IMHO Such a nice car and likely a hemi car to be cut up and parted out doesn't make sense or economical sense?? :scratchchin:

This hobby is more than just our cars, it's the people you get to meet along the way!!!

Well, the partial vin will be on that drivers side drip rail, if anyone is going to look at it.

If a block is cracked isnt it worthless?

UFO

The remnants left after the vinyl top was removed sure resemble a mod top.

Any one reported there rt missing , ? Chop shop

The body might be a Hemi VIN but it isn't necessarily one.

The "Hemi only" body reinforcements showed up on 440/4spd cars at least as often as Hemi/727s.

Is there some logic when they were installed in 440/4spd cars? Only in some assembly lines or during some time period?
