PG Restoration Parts...Legit? Edit...Yes!

I've been getting Black Friday emails from a place called PG Restoration Parts, as well as from PG Classic Restoration Parts, that I've dealt with before. PGR's site seems very similar to PGC's, complete with the clumsy phrases such as Bundles Parts and Seats Parts.  They don't list a physical address on their site as PGC does, which is in Canada, but they do have a US Dollar and Canadian Dollar select button. That would seem to indicate they are in Canada, but their fax prefix is from Seattle.

Can anyone here vouch for this place? If their site is a spoof, it's a pretty elaborate one.

www.pgrparts.com vs. www.pgclassic.com

Might be worth forwarding this info on to the guys that you have dealt with before and ask them.  They might be interested to know, even more so if it is bogus because I can guarantee that folks are going to get the 2 mixed up.

Thanks for the heads up on a possibly spoof site,

I called PG Classic and was surprised to get through. The nice lady there told me that the site is from the same company and they rolled it out early for Black Friday sales.

30% off some items on the new site and 25% off everything on the old site.

WOW I'm glad I read this thread. I almost put my order in thru PG Classics main on-line store for a RH 68 Charger side mirror with their 25% off Black Friday deal. That total came to $107.00 shipped. When I seen this thread I went to PG's other on-line store and did the same process on the same part (RH mirror) and the total came to $100.75 shipped. I know it's only a difference of $6.25 but hey I'll save what I can.

Thanks to the OP

I'm glad its not a ripoff site but I'm a bit curious as to why they need two?

VegasCharger

To confirm I received the 1964-1974 A Body/1967-1970 B Body RH Exterior Mirror part no. 160-RHC for my 68 Charger from PG Reproduction Parts. This is the sister company of PG Classic Restoration Parts. PG Classic is the more main stream company of the two. The mirror is spot on with the correct lines and shape with good weight. Below are some pics. As you know it is hard to capture good shots of chrome pieces, well at least for me it is LOL. F.Y.I. I left the protective film on the mirror glass. I won't remove that until it's installed. Hardware and gasket were included. $100.75 shipped (25% discount was used).

Edit, here are their websites as mentioned by the OP:

:o I was just looking at this site last night crazy...that piece looks great! I found them while search 70 front side markers. I thought it was a rip off site too!

I am a little suspicious why they would need a secondary site. Especially with BEA. :shruggy:

Ghoste

Yeah I don't get it either but whatever?  It all works for us I suppose.

I would hate to be assumptive, but maybe it can be a channel for the less than "perfect" pieces :scratchchin:

PG Classic has always seemed a little dicey to me but I honestly can't complain about the end results. They had a fairly long spate where there was no hope of reaching anyone either by phone or email. Even then I still ordered parts from them online and got them quickly. If it works it works I guess. It isn't pretty but they get it done.

Yes they were thorough on the delivery all by e-mails. They gave me a tracking number for FedEx. However they tracked it for me by sending me updates via emails. It's like you don't even have to track the package of you wanted to, they do it for you. Well at least on this order they did.
