Are the under hood air conditioning lines for a '69 Charger available new ?

Original restoration style, not the modern add on kit type.

383/440 car.

Really?  Didn't know that. I thought that it was all unobtainium these days. I had heard that certain heavy equipment shops could cut new hose and crimp it to the old fittings but it obviously is what ever hose they have and the crimps were different.

I have a complete restored set with the condenser if your interested.  The lines and rubber were restored by Jerry Schmidt at concours creations.   Sold the car years ago I was going to use them on.

Would it be a lot to ask for you to pull them out and post photo's
One of the last things to do on mine , have used a modern sandon compressor, but the lines are a pain to make up if your not experianced with them .
and even though mines far from stock, don't like changing too much from stock appearance ,

Classic Auto Air has the metal lines, some reproduced in aluminum also.
The large rubber lines with the metal fittings can be rebuilt by them but you have to supply your stuff.
Year One and Classic Industries just sell other people's parts at a mark up.

The short answer is no.  The hard line from Classic Indust. that others have posted is aluminum tube, vs the original steel the factory used.  There is a short liquid hose fron the filter/dryer to the expansion valve available aftermarket.  It's a replacement, has the mfg logo and part #'s on it (Parker).

The discharge and suction line mufflers in the factory hoses have a tendency to collect rust if the system has been long abandoned.  Rebuilding involves cutting welds, bead blasting and through cleaning.  Old hoses get porous through the hose wall as they age.  If you just want the appearance and don't intend to use the system, none of this matters.  You just need to find a 383 A/C B body, I believe the part#'s are the same as 440 cars.

  Took a while to find my original hoses and paid dearly for them also... The Suction/Discharge lines are one year (1969) Big Block only...


I left mine alone (rubber hose wise) for originality purposes (kept the circular crimps in place over the more modern replacement serrated crimp style)
never really planned on getting the system working....more for show....at least for now..

Thanks, guys. Here's the deal: I bought a restored set from member here a few years ago, they look great.

But... yesterday I took one of the protective blue plastic caps off of the end of one of them and...a huge amount of rust flakes and dust fell out.

I was pissed and went in the house before I threw something and made another hole in the drywall in the garage...or worse...

Fortunately, according to you guys, it seems that one is reproduced, but in aluminum which would be OK with me.

Today I'll pull the other caps and check the rest of the set.
