Hello, I'm new to the board here. I've heard really good insight that this is the best site for 2nd gen Chargers. So I've followed it for awhile reading some posts and decided to register to become a member.

My story: I do not own a Charger as of yet but plan to as soon as the right deal comes across. I'm in no rush but then again I don't want to search for ten years either. 1969 Charger is preferably the one I'm after. Non R/T so that I can do some slight mods and not feel guilty. Although if a good deal on an R/T came my way I would not shy away from it lol. So currently I'm looking and saving up $$$ in the same process. I figure around $20,000 as a base starting point. A driver complete car and work on it as I go and still drive. Not my main transportation by any means but a driver/work as you go type project.

My dad had a base 318 1969 Charger that was sold a long time ago. However there are many parts that remain in his garage and shed that I can use if needed on my future 1969 Charger. The parts were compiled from him doing a restoration with some mods on his Charger.

Okay I'll quit here and keep an eye out here on the DC.com boards.

Like some Chinese guy said a long time ago re: the best time to plant a tree could be said for purchasing a muscle car...

The best time to purchase a muscle car was 50 years ago, the next best time is now!   :yesnod:

Good luck in the hunt, many folks here will be able to assist you in making the right decision.

Where in VT Doug?  I'm in the central NH/VT area (Lyme, NH side of the creek), a few miles north of the I89/I90 interchange.

I was on the site for many years before I found my Charger with the help of the folks here. It's a great community, you have found a great home for a Charger enthusiast.  :2thumbs:

Hope that we have the opportunity to meet.

Welcome!

$20K can get you a nice driver but be prepared to travel a bit if needed.  I can't wait to get back to Vermont, just love it.  Next time I may drive the charger there.

Welcome :yesnod:

Where the heck is Vermont anyway? :scratchchin:

J-K....not only do I know where it is, I'm here now. Born in Newport, live south of it.

Great group here, really knowledgeable and willing to help......if they do not have an answer to a question.....likely there is no answer.

Again, welcome!
