Hi,  I stumbled onto your site while trying to find some info.  (my 16 yr old son is doing a school project on 1969 Dodge Charger)    We have been searching the internet for hours trying to find out some info.    Can anyone either suggest where we can look for some of this, or would anyone know the answers to any of these questions?
Some of the questions he has are:  (this is only info on the 1969)   What was the M.S.R.P.  at that time?   What is the current value today?  What was the available engines?  The horsepower ratings?  The available transmissions?  Available options?  Available colors?
Any help would be greatly appreciated !
Thank you !

Hello and welcome. This is probably the best place for any charger info. I can't think of anything that i did in school that sounds as cool as a charger project. I am by no means an expert on this topic, but here's a few things for you.
Engines: slant 6 225 ci(standard equipment), v8 318 ci(standard equipment), v8 383 ci (optional), v8 440 ci (optional), V8 426 CI (OPTIONAL).
HORSEPOWER: for the/6 @ 4000 rpm is roughly 145 , 318 @4400 rpm roughly 230, 383(w/ 4 barrell) @ 5000 RPM roughly330, 426@5000 rpm roughly 425 horses, the 440(w/ 4 barrell)@ 4400 rpm roughly 350 .
I'm sure you'll get lots of response  this post. Good luck.
Side note: buddy of mine was telling me about his 69 road runner, think he said he paid under 4k for it new.

I agree this IS probably the best place you will find anywhere on all '66 to '74 Chargers. But you can also try the '69 Charger Registry site at 1969chargerregistry The owner of that site is also a member here. But it is specifically for the 1969 Charger.

These links will answer your paint color questions.

Weren't the 340, 383 2 barrel and 400 also available engines for the 1969 model year?

Transmissions were the 904 (small block) and 727 (big block), both are 3 speed automatics... but you could also get an 833 4speed manual transmission.

The 400 wasn't avalible til '72. And the 340 wasn't a option til '71 I believe.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!   So much great info.    He is taking Auto Repair in school and the 1969 Charger is what he chose to research in this project.    (and of course, dreams about getting one some day ! )
Again, thanks so much :)
