Most I'd pay would be about 13 for it.  Looks to be a rather nice car.  Drive it, and enjoy it man  :2thumbs:

"Looks" ok. It's a weird market right now. $15K can really do some talking these days. The $11K is prob closer as its a Satellite. If the rails and rear window area are ok I'd say she's a fine car. Love dem '70's.

I know it's a base satellite, but it looks like a very nice, sorted car for the money.

I'd change the steering wheel, ditch the 4x4 ride height and drive the hell out of that.

Been driven into the ground already - how do you "badly bend" all 4 wheels ?    :shruggy:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Touche'.  ;) Still looks like a nice ride though!

I wouldn't describe it as a base Satellite, since its actually a Sport Satellite.  It's an RH with the H indicating high price class so think of it more as a Road Runner with a little more accent on trim over performance (in a sense).  I saw a 69 Satellite that had been cloned into a Road Runner recently go for more money and it was a lesser car judging by those photos.  I'd say you've done well.

Well I pickup the car today and it is pretty clean and the back window is good and doesn't even have surface rust inside the trunk area where the speakers are.  the front end is to high but I think the tires will rub if I lower it but I will check that out. Kick down is not hook up and we know what that means and he took some money off because of that. Need to fix the dash lights as they don't work and some rust in front of the passenger side rear tire. Windshield wipers don't work. Dome light switch does work either.

So now the fun starts fixing things. I will start off by getting everything working as it should from the factory and then decide on upgrades. converting from drum brakes will be one of the first things I do. I think I did ok as far as buying the car and with a couple grand I think it will be a really nice driver.

One thing I want t o find out is the vin say satellite but not sport so I wonder if it was just trimmed out that way. Got to check under the rear seat tomorrow and hope to find the build sheet.  :)

Oh and yes change out the steering wheel. I hate it  LOL

Mopar Nut

That's a good buy.

Post pictures of your progress.

That is part of the fun of owning these great cars. Kinda like going to a car show and taking about our car insteat it is online   :icon_smile_wink:

Anyhow I hope to take a day and go through it and decide on what to:

Take off electric fan
fix dash lights and remove the lights that were installed
check for leaks
check for build sheet and decode it
decode the fender tag
check all fluid levels
check belts & hose to make sure they don't need to be replaced
fix wipers since they don't work
make sure all lights work for driving at night
hookup kick down
and the lists goes on and on LOL man I love MOPARS

Nice looking 70!  I suspect I'm in the minority, but I actually like the chrome strip on the side.

Enjoy!   :2thumbs:

nwilliams

ya I would rather not have it but it is better then it being down the middle of the car like they did on the chargers.   LOL and because it is metal and holes in the body for now it is going to stay. If I repaint the car then maybe just maybe it will get removed.

ya it sucks I get it home and then it snows however as long as there is no salt on the road or raining I will still drive her some LOL can't buy a car and not drive it LOL I got insurance and tags for it yesterday so she is legal now.

DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT  :popcrn:

I paid little bit more than that but the body is really good and that is hard to find. So that why I went up some  :)

6spd68

For sure!  I'd say you're good on dry days right up until the snow sticks.  That's always been my personal rule of thumb with summer cars.  Back when I was still at home with the folks; I'd typically get stuck in that first snow fall of the year.  In Toronto that never really sticks though, and you'll have scattered driving opportunities right up until around Christmas.  :2thumbs:
