Hi,

my other dream Mopar (besides my 68 Charger) a 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A Six Pack. I think I would like to start looking for one, and would appreciate some insight from the Mopar-Guru's on this Forum!

Were/are these cars very rare and difficult to come by?

Any idea on prices for a good/excellent example?

Where and how would you begin the search for one of these? Would you talk to restoration specialists?

Maybe look on Challenger forums registries? I don't know them...

Any insights/Feedback would be  appreciated...

Best,

Charlie

Thanks for info... I'll check out the Cuda-Challenger forum...

Anything in particular that you really need to watch when buying those cars?

There is a common myth that all T/A's and AAR's were built with the two nipple oil breather.......this is not the case. Just sayin'  ;)

So, what are you sayin'? I was under the impression the '70 model had nothing more than the hole in the bowl vent and the rubber flap on the vent arm.. I though the vent valve configuration occurred in '71 and the California-Emission equipped '70's.... So, I'm on the search for the proper float bowl and breather for my TA. I see the Survivor TA on Mopar Action and it has the valve-style...

Depended on the State for what they got.....California etc. Most got the single nipple breather and the flap on the bowl vent. I just wanted to clarify this as one site says they all got the 2 nipple breather....period. This is not the case.

Alaskan_TA

Single nipple for all AARs & T/As unless N95 is coded in which case they got the three nipple breather.

Sweet !!! Then, under further review, I have what I need to make this a properly equipped TA ( at least in this regard )...... Thanks guys.....  I figured that would be the case... These carbs were changed over time and some believe, just because they get them this way or that, it's gospel.
