So here you go. Dodge and Plymouth both had an "E" Body. "E" was the chassis designation for that model. Most parts are interchangeable but not all. Body panels and interior parts are different. Some items are the same like most of the glass, drive train, etc.

Plymouth made the Barracuda as the base model. The 'Cuda was the performance model. Dodge made the Challenger as the base model, The Challenger R/T was the performance model. There were other packages like SE, Rallye, that were trim upgrades.

There was also a luxury model called the gran coupe for the barracuda . . . So 3 models total.    Most of the body panels are different but a lot of the interior part were interchangeable . . . Just not door panels.

All depends on where those folks gained their "knowledge." The F&F series of films do not count as automotive education.

Wrong...... There are very few parts that are interchangeable from a 70-74 Barracuda to a 70-74 Challenger.. I believe the only interior part that would interchange would be the kick panels. Most people don't realize the Barracuda is a full inch shorter in the wheelbase versus the Challenger. About all that is the same is the chassis unibody except the floor pan (where it is shorter)

That is because most Mopar guys know that the difference in wheelbase is actually TWO inches. The Barracuda is 108" and the Challenger is 110".

is the chassis shorter too? like do you have to shorten subframe connectors to fit a cuda?

If you notice on the rear valence of the Plymouth E you can see where the valence is forced to go around the rear of the spring hanger.  You wont see that on the Dodge.
