1968 440 motor. Matching 906 heads. Complete motor. 500$ to much? Just right?

   Not a terrible price, not what I would call a super bargain either. I'd want to pull the heads and see if there are any numbers stamped on the pistons. If it's .060 over I'd pass.

    Sorry about that, looks like the heads are off. So, mic the cylinder walls maybee. Probably goes for any 440.
Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

Sounds cheap to me!
Never seen a 440 under $500 anywhere unless its a late smog motor.
Do you feel lucky?
I would pay that just for the parts.

If it is standard bore, that is a good price.  As another member said I would want to pull the heads to maybe see piston size.

So there is a 30 stamped on the pistons.

so I guess the question is...if I buy this motor, and it's clear I know very little about it...how much would it take to get it to run and fun?
