THAT would be a good dukes event jump car.. if they are insistent on continuing to do that at events.... 

Man, I'm not sure Corey would even wanna strap himself into that thing! 
Well, okay, maybe it would work if they rollcaged it well enough.  But they really try for decent framerails under those cars just to be safe.

Either way I'm not sure about a jump this year anyway.  Nothing has been arranged for it yet. 

They recently went out to the new "Dukesfest" location in Nashville, and it just isn't big enough to do a jump the size of the last couple of huge GL jumps in Bristol.  If they even do it then it's gonna have to be a smaller jump.

I went and looked at one like that that was here in Toronto last summer.....supposedly came up from California and was a package deal that the previous own picked up. Every panel was warped extensively.......The frame and under side was pretty solid.....but way to much work to straighten all those panels let alone all the rust.....the roof was the worst.

I agree with what has been said...A few years ago on the other site, someone posted pics of their charger after it had been badly T-boned. I honestly said that I thought it could be fixed. It had been a solid car, it would have taken a skilled body man hours of work to do it, but you can weld fresh metal to solid straight metal, and if you get the alignment right, you are fine...but this burnt out wreck?
It really has nothing to offer, no useful parts, no safely repairable metal....Oh... and handling burnt out cars is an incredibly dangerous business..
The rubber seals and various plastic components change their state above 300deg C and break down to various chemicals, including Hydrofluoric acid. It is VERY strong and can eat through human flesh at an alarming rate. Put it this way, if you touched some, by the time you got from one end of the garage to the end where your sink is (if you have one) your fingers will literally be down to the bone.

Yeah, the burned cars are the worst. 

Gimme a low-rust car that's been bent in half any day.  But car that's been burned like the one in this thread is a goner.
