How much would you spend... billet steel 727 front clutch drum

I recently bought one off of ebay for 300 dollars.  They regularly go for $700 from A & A trans and $515 from CRT.  How much would you spend?  I am asking because I plan on reverse engineering this puppy and do some tweaks to it.  I have access to a CNC machine and can make some for my friends, but need to be able to pay for CNC machine time and materials.  I do not plan on making millions off of this, but rather make an affordable alternative for all those guys who are not rich enough to pay for a good steel drum.

This is really one of those "interest survey" type of deals.

On that note, what would you pay?
