Hello all! It has been quite a while since I have posted on this site, but in that time I have acquired a new project. The car is a 1968 Charger RT, its a numbers matching car, 440, 727, 83/4 rear diff, and is/was a dark green color. The car was parked in the very early 80s due to a cracked block (may have been a freeze plug) and it sat there until about a month and a half ago when I became the lucky recipient. I am the second owner, and the car has 73,600 original miles on it ad overall isn't in too bad a shape (in theory) for being outside for such a long time. Whenever I can figure out how to post pictures I will post some up here for advice, or to hear how much of a bad idea it is :slap:

Here she is, how she sat for 30 years out in the jungle

moparnole

Another picture, in the background is an old GTO that had sat for almost as long as the charger

moparnole

Here she is leaving the jungle, somehow the original tires still held air

moparnole

Once it came home, did a big scrub down on her, and it actually didn't look half bad for sitting outside for so long

And here is engine bay. It was incredibly messy because a mouse had taken up residence inside the hood. Needless to say the mouse and my cat became good friends  :D

Wow, you could say that again! I'm glad you were able to rescue it from the jungle, that looked like a sad spot for a Charger. Was that a LeMans sitting next to it, or a GTO?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Very cool! Congrats! What are your plans, a full restoration?

It is indeed a gto, I believe it is too far gone unfortunately, there is no.engine, and the body is complete Swiss cheese. As for plans, I am planning on slowly bringing it back to its former glory, a bit at a time, but there is no telling how quickly that may be, going to school and only working at the Sam Walton sweat shop (Wal-Mart)

WOW Thanks for sharing your story and pics.

Poor 'ole Charger has new life thanks to you.

For something that was sitting out in the weeds, it looks better than most.
