383 Charger engine performance parts around New York/Stamford??

Hello Guys

I am a Danish guy who is visiting a friend in Stamford-NY this week, and i have a Dodge Charger 1968 with an 383 engine at home, which i am restoring the engine on, and there for i want some new engine performance parts to get the engine upgraded...
So my question is if there are any good and reliable parts dealers around here so i can drive to a store and have a talk about what good parts and setup i need??
And maybe can be helpful to send it home to Denmark to me??
