Anyone know if or where to find a shift light or circuitry that doesn't rely on a tachometer? Ideally I'd like to just install/hide a 5mm LED in the dash somewhere. Has anyone done this or is it even possible?

I would think it would be fairly simple .

Don't they sell something like that from Autometer or one of them?

Im using the factory tach but hid a shift light in the dash (charger medallion) its wired to a little autometer box in the glovebox.  Check out reply 143 or so

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

That light looks pretty good but is a bit larger then I wanted. I see Jaycar made an adjustable rev limiter with sequential shift light kit but I cant seem to find it. Maybe they stopped making it  :shruggy:  I want something that is pretty undetectable, I thought about hiding a couple of LED's in the instrument cluster so the cluster lights up or something like timmy. I guess I could take the light apart and modify it.

A full 6AL2 or aftermarket ignition box is out of the question.

Speaking of rev limiters this is also what I'm after but how good or bad is the quality? Will it cause more problems then it's worth? I like the fact it looks like nothing.
