Forgotten Mopars.....my old website is no more

Hey guys-
Just figured I'd shoot out a quick update. Some of you may remember the website "Forgotten Mopars" I started way back in 2007. I decided to start it one day with just a few pictures while bored on a snow day home from school. It picked up pretty fast and reached 110 pages of content, over 1,000 pictures and over 100,000 views within a few years. Around 2010 I started having issues with uploading content, the hosting program kept glitching out and just simply wouldn't let me. I tried with a different internet browser and got it to work. Around early 2011, I had absolutely no uploading access. No matter what internet browser I would use, I couldn't get the new pictures I was trying to upload to go from the upload screen onto the actual web page. They'd upload and automatically vanish.

Well, I tried checking the website a few weeks ago and upon typing in the URL for the page, it automatically got transferred to some random news website. I did some looking around this morning and found out for whatever reason back in November 2012, the hosting company I was using for my website was bought out by the same news website it transferred me to. In turn, once they bought out the hosting company, they closed all the websites that were hosted under the company. So, unfortunately, the website I worked on every day for years is now gone into the depths of the internet along with 3/4 of the content I had uploaded.  :rotz:

You know what would be really cool though? Start a new one but bigger and better.  :2thumbs:

That's a pity. I used to visit the Forgotten Mopars quite often. Don't let yourself be discouraged, why not try to built a new one with a more serious hosting company.

This quote tells me a few things. A resurrected website would be very popular, a great source of information and a great advertising platform.

If you look around on some of the other forums you can find some interesting stuff too, but maybe get permission as well:
