Hello all you experts!
My search for a darn nice, numbers matching 68 RT is going, well...belly up.
Here is a restored 69 RT.
I would very much like everyones opinion on this car.
My research into auction prices tell me that a #1 69RT goes for around 60-75 K.
Opinions very welcome and thanks!

Is that the link at the bottom?!  If it is, it won't copy and paste as a good website.

Challenger340,

IMO, your car as described is most certainly worth well north of
$50k.
My car is very similar to yours but we did restore the cosmetics
of the car i.e, paint, VT, complete interior and an aftermarket
sound system. It's a true NM original unhacked unmodified car
that we bought from the OO yada yada yada.

JWW426,

Just my thoughts here and I mean no disrespect but that car is NOT worth anywhere near
$99k and its, at best a #2 car. Little things like restoring/repainting
emblems etc along with big restoration evolutions are what elevate
cars toward that #1 or 100 point level.

I don't know too much but I would suggest you avoid these
"Classic Car" consignment outfits, you will get cheated.
Buy from a private party and the forum is the best place to start.  :Twocents:

This car is, of course, a rare, excellent 4 speed R/T, BUT without matching numbers I agree with the others on the board-value in my mind $45-55. In any event it is worth what you are willing to pay, and 4 speeds are getting very difficult to find, particularly with the rare bucket seat/console combination. I love this car but not at this price. Good luck with it and your hunt.

Gorgeous car but yeah, grossly overpriced.

Why not restore the quarter emblems?

I like the "patina" of the original un-retouched emblems, fits with the vintage genre of the Car ?
and,
If you look closely at the R/T emblems, the "R" being tilted more upwards towards the Sun on the 1/4 panels, is faded more than the "T" which being lower and inclined downward receives less direct sunlight.
Remember here, it has only clocked 9,000 miles since 1984 ?... and IMO, best left alone, as is.

That is a crazy price on that car!!   :eek2:  I am amazed at the made up above Barrett Jackson circus asking prices of some of these classic car dealers. And what's even more amazing, is that they sell some of them. As said above, buy from a private party, through a website like this if possible.

My buddy has an identical car to that with a 426 4 gear.  Clone.  He's not asking near that much but I think he sent the title to B-J already.   :shruggy:

I could find out if you'd like.

340, I never even knew you owned a Charger.  NICE.

Mr. 340, that is a cool car. My 66 Hemi is unrestored but not that nice.
What is your EXACT address where you keep the car?
Ill visit during the night so as not to disturb you.

Besides all that has been mentioned already with #'s and color change. The tag looks like a repro to me, anyone else?
