Dash Fan Switch Same AS C-Body?

Working on 68 Charger and my dash fan switch is bad. I read on here that someone said the c-body switch (part # 2771122) guts transfer to the B-body switch to make the repair. Can anyone confirm this? They sure look the same...... Thanks, Jon

I just came across this thread. I used the guts from a 77 Cordoba switch to do same thing. Think allot of them were the same on the inside for many years.

I ended uo finding the correct switch, but now I want to know. NOS 68 Charger switch is $200 replacement guts $25..... :-)
