This past weekend, on the way home from SEMA, we stopped in Utah to get gas just prior to entering Wyoming.  We pulled up next to this bus that at first glance, looked like someone was living in it.  There were a shitload of cats in it.  I took a few pictures while I was gassing up and posted them to Facebook.  Today, a buddy of mine pasted a URL with a link to the same bus and that it had been impounded in Ontario.  Looks like there were 68 cats inside of it.
Here is a link to the story: http://www.argusobserver.com/news/cats-recovered-from-van/article_33801a24-6ac7-11e4-a99f-a7660d994539.html

I don't think I've seen 68 cats in one spot :o  Good to see this lady was caught and these cats will get the attention they deserve.

Omg, that just breaks my heart! I rescue and rehome pets so this just makes me want to fly to  Ontario to help. Sadly i cant but its a reminder to all to have pets spayed or neutered, volunteer at your local shelters, donate food, cash,  and blankets/towels/litter. Every bit helps! 🐶🐺

FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

That is one of the strangest and saddest things I have ever seen!  What in the world were they doing with those cats on a road trip?  I am a "cat" person and have 2 of my own and they are wonderful pets but, I just cannot imagine what or where they were going and what they were doing with so many cats!  Sad .... Sad .... Sad!

I am glad that the poor cats were rescued and hope they find a loving home.

ODZKing

Yes, that makes me sad as well. They just rescued a bunch of cats not far from here that were neglected , and by a animal control officer no less.

I know some of these people mean well, but c'mon people, OMG!

Egads, I could just imagine the stench coming from inside that bus.  :eek2:
Get those kitties outta there.

I'm sorry, but every time you hear/see these stories of cat/dog/reptile/etc/etc living in squalor conditions, these animals are physically and/or mentally "sick", they should be euthanized instantly IMHO...along with the owner(s)

John_Kunkel

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

polywideblock

but if the poor kitties should be euthanized  ,  then they would probably  be better off with the hoarder at least they are alive   :scratchchin:

these cats probably have not  know anything different to the bus so that was "normal" to them,  just home .

just like someone from a slum doesn't think "o my god,  I live in a slum" ,unless they have outside contact its "just normal"

and I'll add my  own ,oh my god what a stench must have wafted out of that bus  :eek2:

Quite the coincidence that you see it a couple thousand miles away from where it would make news.  Then what are the odds you photographed it?  Weird feeling.

Noticed a very distinctive vehicle on the west coast once.   A couple of years later I was listening to a rebroadcast  of Click and Clack while driving in the middle of the night.   The caller described similar vehicle, so, the picture in my head was the vehicle from the west coast.   As they drilled on the details I realized it was the exact vehicle I was picturing in my mind.  Weird feeling.
