Ambulance Services need Patrol Chargers?

So I was driving through my little town today and seen what I thought was the first RCMP Charger in town. Had the bushbar on the front, the low profile lights on the roof, etc. Then I noticed the door. It read "BC Ambulance Service" with the Government decal. Why would an Ambulance service need a Patrol Charger?  :shruggy:

My guess would be so that a small task force of paramedics can get to seen quicker, and call for more advanced services if needed, like a Medflight.  I'm sure this Charger could navigate traffic a lot better than an ambulance.

That is true.

Bet the local RCMP are jealous though. They are still running the old Fords that have seen way better days (the paint is peeling off some of our police cars :( )

And, the Charger does have a pretty large trunk, just in case you need to transport someone.... :D

That's going to be a ride to remember.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Cool looking ride!  If I was a paramedic there, I would be all over it daily to drive it.

Supervisor car, sort of like a fire chief-mobile?

That's exactly what it is. They have these and Tahoe's for the supervisor's cars. Our transit security force here in Vancouver drive strictly Chargers as well.
