CB

Bought her last April with some help from Ponch and his buddy,  gathered some extra parts like new police rims&tires, new 6-pack hood, ignition kit (thanks to Firefighter! :coolgleamA: ) shop manual (finally got one ) a HD frond end kit from Firm Feel.

When I got her yesterday I noticed that the flexible brake line is shot. Also the trans is low on oil.
Once I get those things fixed I can get her registered.

It is a black plate CA 1969 RR, with some nice factory options: buckets / console car, PB, factory disk brakes, AC, A4 Silver with black top.
It has a super clean body, no rust, no rot. Had a repaint once but the paint is flacking off though.

I started her up a couple of times and she runs like a dream. Hope to get the papers done and inspected to put some miles on her.

Sorry it isn't a Charger but hey, I have my number 2 car now. :2thumbs:

Plans: get her mechanically sound, remove the old glue from the top and drive like is for a while.

That's wonderful CB! Its a very good find and won't take much
to make it a reliable daily driver fun car. Restore that baby over
the next few years and you'll have another premier classic in
your stable................to go along with the 70 virgins.  :D

Good on ya man!

One of the reasons I bought this Runner is because it is so close to stock.
As I was going over the car I noticed that they put new mufflers on it and repainted the car (just paint over paint) Guess they didn't like the A4 Silver :shruggy:
Over time I want to get her repainted back to factory specs.
Chrome is pitted but still okay for a driver.

By changing the wheels the rear sits 2 3/4 inch up which give it a nice stance. The original wheels will be kept in the shop, after cleaning them up.

Also they put a newer distributor on it so it should be a little more maintenance friendly.

love the fact is it so solid and has all the original sheet metal.

That's a pretty sweet ride!  Looks like the interior needs no attention (my biggest concern with any old car fo some reason  :scratchchin: )

Best of luck with it!

What size wheel and tire did you end up going with? That steelie/RWL tire combo looks badass. How about a side shot?
