Dropped the car off at the body shop today & while the LF fender made him chuckle, he said that he'd rather have to deal with that instead of rot & replacing panels & although it needs work, he said that it was going to be an easy car. I've been given a finish date somewhere around the end of February which would work out good for me.  :2thumbs:

So did you tell him what color to spray from the gun?  :shruggy:

I changed the Hellcat order to B5 blue & I'll need some variety of color in the garage.

TUFCAT

Gold Silver and blue would look nice in your garage.... :whistling:

:2thumbs:  I have changed my mind on color for mine a few times and have always come back to the B5 blue. One of my favorite cars is my B5 C500 and since it is going I will miss the blue in the garage.

And I still have plenty of time, but right now it'll still be between silver & blue.

While the car is in the body shop, I'm tackling all of the other components in the engine compartment one at a time. The wiper motor is done, the power brake booster has been sent out and the steering gearbox is going out to have a firm-feel put in. The engine ran well, so I just cleaned it up and added a set of heads with hardened exhaust seats.

What color top?

I like the looks of the white top, but since I have a black interior, I'm unsure.

Thoughts?
I say that is a horrible idea! Mainly because that's exactly how my 4-speed R/T came from the factory and I don't want to have to park next to a copy of it. ;) Honestly, I'd prefer white top and interior with the blue but this was the closest I found. I have another in bronze/white/white and had one in black/white/white. I guess I like white tops! Pain to clean though. I had a turquoise 68 in LL1 with a black top and interior. It just doesn't "pop" like the white does. That's good if you aren't looking for unwanted attention. I love silver because of the way it shows off the body lines - although I'd probably do away with the vinyl top altogether.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Add in the time spent polishing the silver on his new formal dress turban, and you will see just how fast he really is......

In my book, I'm slacking. Up until a few short years ago I could work at 115%, but now that age is catching up to me, I can only work at 95%.

Mytur Binsdirti

A little bit of progress has been made at the body shop. All the side molding holes have been filled & the front fender crunch pulled out nicely.....
