I think white top and black interior complement nicely.

:Twocents:

I like the white top way better.

Capt. Fuzzy Paws votesd black interior, black top, and white stripe to make it pop... (no red-lines though :nono:)  It'll look like a clown car....trust me, I know.  :whistling:

Mytur Binsdirti

Doesn't look like a clown car to me.  :shruggy:

bill440rt

Mark, the blue/white combo you posted is stunning for sure.  :drool5:
Stuff a black interior in it and well, the pop factor might be lost a bit.
However, Tuffy brings up a great point with a black top/interior & a white stripe.  :scratchchin:   That's something to think about. Maybe a set of thin white stripe tires and, hmmm.....   :scratchchin: :scratchchin:

EDIT: Nevermind, you just posted that pic!   :drool5: :drool5: :drool5:
I could picture it though with Magnums and thin white stripe tires.  :yesnod:

I think thin whitelines will make this combo "pop" a bit more than redlines.  I also noticed more cars wearing Goodyear F60/G60 white stripes this year at MCACN. So they're making a comeback. :Twocents:

What color top?

I like the looks of the white top, but since I have a black interior, I'm unsure.

Thoughts?

Tops gotta match the Interior in my opinion. Black Interior= Black Top. White Interior=White Top.

Homerr

Yeah, gotta have the carpet match the drapes.

QQ1 is what I'm after. Perhaps it's the lighting, but now you have me thinking if that's it.

This one is....

Almost bought a '68 QQ1 with white vinyl top once.
White stripe and blue interior.
Man it was hard to walk away from that car.

I'm going with this....

And I know that this one is LL1 because it's one of the cars I drooled over when I was shopping for mine.

Personally, I love a white interior and no vinyl. That's up to you though! You can't go wrong with either color.

Isn't there a 68 color that is called Turquoise? Like a Blue/Green
I don't know 68 paint codes, when I was a kid a guy a couple of Avenues up bought one new. It was Turquoise with Black Top, Interior and Bubble Bee stripe.  Almost everyday he would do a burnout on my corner and almost everyday my friend Vinny's mother would run out onto her porch and curse him out!!!!
Now that I think about it 9 years later I did a two gear Burnout on the corner and May went nuts like years earlier. :nana:

Loved that car.

LL1 was the turquoise for 1968.  It was lighter and brighter than the dark turquoise of 1967 - (also code LL1)

Actually that's a sweet combination if it has a black or white top.  Green interiors and tops are icky.  :eek2:

Mark, nice work.  :2thumbs:  I see holes going down the body side. Did this car have side moldings, or was it from bad previous body repairs?  :scratchchin:

It had a body side molding, which typically are stuck on with adhesive, but these were riveted on.  :eek2: Had they been stick-ons, I would have lived with the paint job it had for a while. However, that situation accelerated the process.

I'm taking advantage of the sales & ordered Hemi springs & torsion bars, vinyl roof, headliner, Front seat skins & foam.  :2thumbs:
