Hi guys,

I have 1973 Charger and want to change U joints but can't determine which one is between differential and driveshaft. The one between driveshaft and transmission is NEAPCO 2-3050 (7290 Detroit/Spicer 1330)

http://www.thirskauto.com/vehicle-replacement-parts/universal-joints/conversion-joints/nea_2-3050.html

The other, between differential and driveshaft, is mystery to me :) Here you can see u-joint dimensions.

Cap diameters are 1.078" and 1.063", and I found these:

http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/mog-319

Problem is that other dimensions don't fit, I mean on u-joint width/height.

My old u-joint is 2.44" x 3.15"
First one from Summit is 1.125" x 3.622"
Second from Summit is 1.125" x 3.218"

So, what do you think, what u-joint I have :)

You probably need #347, that's the 7290 x 7260 conversion u joint.  What center section does the rear end have?  I needed the conversion u joint when I installed a 741 case with tall gears.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

I don't really understand your dimensions.  They should be to the outside of the caps on both ends, and is the 2.44 accurate, as it looks bigger than the 3.15?

It is some combination of Mopar and Spicer.  7260/7290 on one side, 1310/1330 on the other.

Another little secret for the day, if it is a 7290/1330, then the "cross" is identical on both sides, only the caps are different.

Looking at the picture and GUESSING, I say 7290/1310

I solved the problem and it was my mistake while I measured the joint, it is DETROIT 7260 - SPICER 1310 :)
