Hey gang..
Mr. Charger here is diving into the ranks of E-body ownership, that of a 1970 Challenger T/A... Most of my buddies are like, "Troy, an Ebody?", yeah right... I thought the same thing. It is a Top Banana non-vinyl ( which I prefer ) 4speed non-console. It is in real good shape and I'm excited about owning my 1st E-Body... After restoring my buddy's '71 v-code Challenger R/T last year, I sort of grew to like it. Soooooo, with that said, is there a thread on the idiosyncrasies of Challenger T/A's? I'm sure there are little things here and there and that's what I'm looking for....  More pictures once it is home (hopefully in two weeks). It is funny how things fall into place. Wasn't even looking for a E-body, was going the Charger R/T route after I sold my Daytona clone. Got it from a good friend of mine I've known for decades..

it's an older restoration, couple of years. The original block is long gone, but was replaced with a real TA block. Has all the other TA-specific stuff if I recall correctly.

Love the TA cars and wish I'd kept the AAR I had a hundred years ago.  I'd love to take on the care of one again someday.

The four speed is a great choice too.  Is it a Rallye dash car?  3:55 or 3:91?

Yeap.... Rallye with 3.55:1's...... The dash/cluster I believe is freshly restored..

Not bad..... All in all, I think I did well. All I have is $6000 in the TA...  :icon_smile_big:

Moparparts

Great looking Top Banana car and one of the best colors there is for a T/A! Had many T/A's and AAR's through the years and my current T/A is also 4-speed non console with rallye dash. If i can be of any assistance on the details or info let me know

Does it have Fast Ratio steering?

Hey Jimbo.. This one doesn't....... Soooo, I may be on the look out for one of those gear boxes with the "TA" cast into it..  ;D

Ok, so did I pass a little TA test? I mean, the standard wasn't a fast ratio. And if it did, then the box would have a TA cast into and the pitman arm is different ( longer )?

Thanks.. May take you up on it. Apparently there's a few TA specialist or original car owners here....... Right Jimbo?

Troy :o
Way to go.  After our talk last week I'm shocked but it sure looks like you got a nice T/A.  You should really enjoy it.  I would be happy to help any way I can.  I can always go out into the garage and take pictures of items on mine for you.  Mines pretty un-dicked with so I can take some good detail shots for you if need be.
P.M. me about the car we were talking about last week.
Congrats again,
Chris

Alaskan_TA

Manual steering was standard on the T/As, power steering & fast ratio power steering were extra cost items.
