Superbird Turn Signal Brackets

There are a pair of used turn signal brackets on the bay today. $ 575 for the pair with the ride BIN. I don't think I have ever seen a pair for sale. I'm guessing they will sell. Probably the easiest S/B part to reproduce, and I'm not sure I could tell a good repo from an original.

All in all, kind of cool to see.

I'm not sure if they are originals. Many of  Mike Goyette's parts are identical to originals.  Some of my parts that I've sold are identical to originals. The only way to tell that my wing braces are different is the absence of the "R" and "L" stamps that the originals have.

what round spacers are you referring to? In the "Superbird learning" stage.....

I think they were incorporated on the backside of bracket to set light depth.but. ot sure its been a while gotta check my picts.I know the Daytona used that set up .

Is it a loose item or tack welded to the bracket? If they are part of the bracket originally, then I should have mine since my Superbird has its original brackets...

I guess I'm thinking Daytona.Bird looks like a double lip sticking out sets the light depth on bracket

Here is a Jack McGaughey repro. next to an original. Differences are quite subtle. One would never see the differences once installed.

I think so many cars are missing the spacers. Easy to lose when repainting a car. Over 40 years of owning Superbirds and I have never seen one. My cars had all been painted before I bought them. I'm guessing it might be spacers in this style, these are obviously not the right spacers.

those spacers are what I was thinking I seen on one of my orig superbirds.But cant confirm it with picts just on memory

The spacers are super tiny. They fit between the bracket and the housing that holds the lens. Just a spacer that keeps you from tightening the pressed on stud too tight. Now that I realize what it is I realized that they were on my original pieces too. How many cars are missing these?

I asked the guy for a picture and he sent one to me. So I looked at mine and wala.  You learn something every day, even if you knew it before and forgot.

Thanks I did recall it correctly There was a spacer on my superbird

Without the spacers you could easily bow/distort the lens housing even though not much thread extends through the bracket.

Does anyone have pics of the correct nuts for the studs? Appears they would be low profile.

Just a guess thinking like the gas cable clamp nut captured washer hardware

Spacer is 1/2" diameter,could be round or square,3/16 " thick with 3/16" hole. Nut is 10/32 thread,3/16" thick with captive lock washer.
