I owned a 4-speed one about 20 years ago & the photos are somewhere on this forum in picture purgatory.   :shruggy:

They are rare, that's for sure.

There are some links to photos of a R4 / C6R 4-speed Daytona in this thread, which unfortunately are no longer active.

Hey Dave (Kanofsky), can you dig up the photos via your Chicagoland contacts again for us?

So far, I still only know of 3 Daytonas with that color combo - two auto's and one stick.  There may be more, but it's definitely not common.

I'll see what I can find.  The Chicagoland Mopar Connection site has been updated and the pics are all gone.

That poor car has been in body shop purgatory for over a dozen years.   :bawling:  :puke:

I talk to the owner regularly and bug him about it frequently.

Did yours get sold from Colorado around 2000/2001-ish and end up in Chicago?  Curious if this is my buddy's car...

I bought it in the late 80's - early 90's from a guy in Shrewsbury MA, had it for a couple years & sold it through HMN to a guy in CT. I think someone here posted my old HMN ad when I talked about the car previously.

It was non-matching numbers with manual steering and brakes. I added the power steering. Sorry, I no longer have the VIN.

By the off brand tires, I would say this is the same one, photographed in Chicago back in 2000.

Now that is RED hot.Beautiful combo.

matching body/interior combos have always been my favorite, be it blue/blue, green/green, tan/tan, or eye popping red/red

black and white both look great, but the matching stuff is tops in my book

I agree its the same car.  Still has the well known "sidewinder" brand tires. :icon_smile_wink:

Good call Doug!
That pic was taken at our MoPower Madness show in Naperville (at the time), that is my Petty Blue 6 bbl 4 spd SuperBird next to it!
(although it was originally Vit C, legend has it the dealer painted it to sell it after an extended stay on the lot)

anyone sharing the last six digits, or know if it's still in the same area?

those tires won't last forever to help identify it, but what a cool way to do it here.

045 I believe was the Daytona cover car on paddock catalog

045 is still in this local area, owned by a friend/former co-worker of mine. pretty wild, but not so far fetched, that two of the known red/red cars would have vin's that are ten digits apart

If that's my old car, that now makes 3 of my old cars that have been on magazine covers.

Where did it go from there?

Long ago, on eBay, there was a Red/Red Daytona from somebody in Canada.  I think I have the photos / add stored somewhere on a computer, but I haven't had a chance to search for it yet.  I keep thinking somebody here will mention it.
