Lets just say its the last of the V8's, Sucks nitro, and put Mel Gibson in a coma... Well.. It will be  :2thumbs: (The green 70 torino fastback thats pictured here)

Im going to put it together in the junkyard, theres a workshop there, Theres alot of MadMax type stuff in there, Round fuel tanks, thousands of wheels, diamond plate, bumpers, semi truck smoke stacks etc. i dont think there are any good engines, but i'll see, i need to find a ladder frame from something too  :scratchchin:

Thanks for the pictures.
Always cool, though most cars look pretty gutted.
I did notice the mercury truck, any other unique Canadian stuff?

Drache

There is this place in Williams Lake. Everything is pre 60's though. Never been in the yard myself.

There may be some Beaumonts and Acadians, but i might mistake them for novas or chevelles, alot of the trim parts are gone that make them unique  :rotz:

No problem, The cool thing is its still an active yard, the last time i went a young couple went to cut the top off a 63 chevy truck. and i went to surgically remove the front clip with engine and trans from a torino so i can use whats left of the rest

It's a shame to let them stay there and be absorbed by the Earth. One day there will be nothing left. Back to iron oxide.

you saw history. i could have crawled around for hours in there. (assuming that the wasps and snakes had moved on  :smilielol:)  and small clips, seat belts or screws from the dash board, door lock knobs, plastic from the dash, heater control knobs, headliner clips,  should i really continue? there are still lots of treasures around that yard. i would have had a blast. :yesnod:

Just when i thought i saw 80% of it all. i got bored i went to google earth and found that theres an entire yard BEHIND the yard i explored. Gotta pack my S**T and go back there  :drool5:

RED area is everything i explored but there's more to the left bottom  :scope:

This yard is by our place called Jackson's
Filled with the same kind of junk :)
You can not see the biggest part from the road and not too many people get to go to the upper yard
The old guy that ran it was one of those shady guys from way back and he did do some jail time for having stolen cars in his yard
He was a funny old guy
He would get a new riding mower every year and cut all the grass between all the cars with it but when he got the mower he would take the hood off so it did not get all scratched up and trade it in on the new one so it looked hardly used
Couple of years ago he was driving to go get his morning coffee and did not feel well and pulled to the side of the road and had a heart attack and died in his car
His brother runs the yard now but only on weekends
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

The guy at this yards pretty cool, he lets me travel the yard whenever i want and work on a car i acquired on any spare time i have, he asks what i think things are worth, and i pay him based on that

You have to be careful when you visit a junk yard as a project may follow you home like a stray dog.... ;)
