Having the good fortune to see Pete's cars up close, his are two of the nicest winged cars you'll ever see. The 'bird is Alpine white, hemi, 4-spd, black interior and it has "very" low miles but I don't recall exactly how many. To see the car up close, you'd swear it had almost none. It's as nice as the day Plymouth built it and it's pretty much all original as I recall. His Daytona is incredible as well and he's owned it for a long time. One of the few advantages of living here in CT...

That is an amazing story.   I had not heard of it.    So, under a hundred miles, but it's been painted.    There are few cars out there that really check ALL the boxes.

That article is 17 years old, Anyone know what it has for miles on it now?  If it has the same miles on it now, what was the purpose of putting an engine back in it? :shruggy:

It did not say the engine was replaced.   The writer was talking about two different cars.

Sorry, I was confused by the article, It's a bit confusing but now after reading it a couple of times I can see that the writer is talking about a hemi 4spd car at first but then changes over to a "featured" car which is a hemi auto that needed a few parts replaced that were taken off and a nose job.

Thought I would chime in, my Hemi Superbird has 6K miles on it and its an automatic!  I sold my Daytona last year to someone local that is probably tired of hearing, "thats Pete's Daytona". When he shows it, he always gets a trophy.  I still have my Daytona convertible, just needs the engine put back together as the cam went south.  Its a winter project that has been sitting for 12 winters! Maybe this winter! LOL!  Wingnut426

I had to read it two or three times myself.   It was confusing.

S83  two spoke steering wheel. Probably the only 2 hemi birds with this wheel. bet there are less than 10 superbirds with a rimblow. rare option that's for sure. mine has buddy seat, 8 track  and 4 speed also.
