Came a crossed this rare beast browsing clist, another rare car dead from rotting in the woods.

Ghoste

Parts car. :scratchchin:   Be nice if some brave rich soul would bring it back as a slant six car.

ramairthree

Very realistic, reasonable seller it seems compared to guys that want to sell one of those for want they saw a mint RT/SE go for on a TV auction.

Yes, seems that way. If the car was priced right sounds like it would make a great parts car.

I'm always amazed at how crisp the body lines are on original cars no matter how rotten......

TUFCAT

1 of 904.  Hard to believe so many /6 were built. I would have guessed much less since 318 was std, and 225 was available at no cost.

Just as today, they were concerned about the cost of fuel and to someone like that, one or two miles per gallon is a lot....

Not likely because the owner was probably going to fix it up one day.  ::)

I would have left it in the woods as it certainly looks like it wasn't worth the effort at all.

I needed the hood....

Mytur Binsdirti

You'll have to beat that air cleaner down first. Be sure to place a chunk of 2X12 on top before you whack it with the sledgehammer.

1974dodgecharger

Hate restricting the air filament.....had a half inch for awhile, then bought a ford drop base with the 2.5inch just barely made it, but I said, 'fck it tired of spending money trying to find the right drop base 60 bucks here and there fucks with you after awhile and just took the hood off and added a 2inch spacer....now my car eats more gas it seems with spacer.

Ghoste

Well it has to fill the space in the spacer so it makes sense that it uses more gas.  :D

And here I thought it was the "Ultimate Air Grabber" set up!   :coolgleamA:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

1968 happens to be the highest production year for a /6 in a classic second gen Charger.  Production fell to half of that number a year later and almost halved again the next year.  The /6 production numbers get even smaller in the third gens....

Mytur Binsdirti

I am not saying the car could not be restored but it would take a team of specialists.

Understatement of the year.  ::)

This car would be invaluable for parts to a guy building a 70, 69 or especially a 1968 Dodge Charger as you would have everything right there and could sell off what you do not need to recoup your investment.

Investment? That thing's only got $750.00 worth of parts in it at best.

In this case, the "investment value" is in the scrap....and whatever else you make after selling a few parts.  :Twocents: :Twocents:
