Are there any pics of the inside of creative industries when the work was done on 500s or Daytonas.  :shruggy: (Wingman).
69 Daytona XX29L9B409032 , 02 Ram Cummins,

Ghoste

I've seen a couple but I would think there are more out there somewhere.  Hemigeno?  Odcics?

hemi-hampton

Another Pic. :scratchchin: :icon_smile_big: ::)

Indygenerallee

I am wondering why would they just not apply a 3M matte vinyl wrap on the hood instead of painting each one??? Seems like it would cost them more to paint the hoods?
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Homerr

Probably don't want the warranty issues of a wrap.

Ghoste

I think it would cheapen them image-wise too.

Just 6T9 CHGR

Not a fan of the all black hood myself....that cheapens the look IMHO.  Some sort of black out treatment would be cool.  The whole hood being black seems like the car is "unfinished" to me :Twocents:
Chris' '69 Charger R/T

Indygenerallee

That's the thing with a 3M wrap they have a 10 year lifespan (I have seen cheap vinyl last longer than that) and if the customer does not like the black then just rip it off and go back to the stock color hood.. I gotta admit though the concept Challenger T/A looks sick with the black hood although the scoop looks more like a AAR Cuda piece.

And it's cool how the black extends out into the fenders and on the header panel( bumper cover). Very cool looking. If that's how the hellcats are getting it I will like it, but if it's jut the hood ,then I be inclined to side with Chris. It would look cheap and unfinished.

My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Indygenerallee

Charger-Bodie that's what makes the new T/A concept look bad ass is the black on the header panel (which the original Challenger never had, hood went to the very front) new Challenger is more Cuda like body wise That's when I saw the T/A concept I thought FINALLY!!! They continued the hood blackout all the way to the front like a original T/A would have been!!!

But not quite all the way too the front. That's what makes it imo.

Guys, from what I've seen so far the hood blackout option is only satin black on the hood itself, no other panels.

Like this sublime HCat in the video.

I have not seen any photos of the inside of Creative Industries showing 500s or Daytonas being worked on.     There are some photos of a Superbird prototype being mocked up, but I'm not sure whether those are from Ten Mile Road or the Outer Drive location.

Aero426

These are great cars, but frankly, they probably will never have the cache of the Daytona.    At the moment, they are the flavor of the month.

That must be the ones I'm thinking of then, is there a Daytona deck lid in the background or something of one?

Aero426

Yes, there are some Daytona bits in the background.

Creative is long since gone and one picture shows the carrier on the street & the other is taken in a parking lot. Not to sound dense, but what's the correlation between the two pictures?      :shruggy:

No direct relationship to Creative or the actual sites where events took place.     I get it that it is the "special" cars grouped together before shipment to dealers.    Similar to the lineup of Superbirds near  Lynch Road.

Ghoste

I believe the relationship is that the Hellcat hoods are being painted in the same building used by Creative back when to do Daytona's.

Mytur Binsdirti

From what I understand, the Hellcats are on the regular production line.

A friend here in Houston ordered one months ago and getting one delay after another. Apparently there is a commission on investigating dealership fraud such that they are ordering cars against people instead of getting them as sales bank inventory. She keeps getting the run-around......

The Hellcats are built on the regular line in Brampton YES but then are shipped elsewhere to have the hoods painted. Seems ridiculous too me, the cost of shipping cars back and forth for minor paint work makes No sense.
Why aren't truck loads of hoods shipped alone to creative??
Hopefully they will use a Canadian vendor for Canadian cars? But at this point who knows.....

This whole experience has left me VERY disappointed so far. Still can't say for certain I'm getting a car, after 3 months. Maybe in another 6 months they will clue us Canadians in ,on what's really going on..
Nice that some folks in the USA think they are getting their cars this week, while those of us in Canada with Serious deposits don't even know IF we will be able to get a car or have deposits returned....

Before I lay a deposit of any kind, the key question is: Is it refundable? Then I want it in writing.  If that cannot be provided, then forget it.

Aero426

This does not look like the back lot of the Ten Mile facility where the Daytonas were done.   The fencing is all wrong, and the lot is not as big as you'd think.    Last I checked, there was a foam upholstery supply house there.

It also does not seem to make sense for cars built in Brampton to get hoods painted near Detroit.

Let me clarify..... I have it in writing that my deposit is too be returned but 3 months after placing my order I still have no more than a VON# and a handshake and I'm expected to just sit back and wait til spring when I might get a car.
Normally you would expect some form of update on expected delivery etc. A phone call from FCA congratulating customers on their purchase would put some minds at rest.
But what they have done with this allocation B.S has caused more questions and concerns from people like me for NO good reason..
There is no gaurentee the dealer you have you order with will get enough cars to fill orders. Cars are allocated based on sales of Dodge products , if your dealer doesn't sell enough cars , you aren't going to get yours....
That's my understanding of it.
I was number 7 inline at the dealer, they were allocated 1 car from the first allocation and it is currently scheduled for production. The next allocation is based on previous 90 days sales of Dodge products specifically Charger and Challenger ( for Canada anyway) so if your dealer doesn't sell enough Dodge won't fill the orders?
So basically I'm supposed to wait 9-10 months for a car that may or may not come.
Canada will not be getting anywhere near the same numbers of cars , some folks will have their dreams crushed

Just my opinion and DAM I hope I'm wrong and they build one for everyone who wants one!! But from a Canadians perspective who has been left in the dark by Dodge I have too wonder....

Didn't have a pic of the Daytona's in rear parking lot on 10 mile rd. Only had a pic of them parked out front of the 10 mile Creative Industries. If somebody has a pic of cars in back parking lot I'll replace it. Creative Industries is not long gone. I work with & know many of the Original Creative Industries guys that worked at the Outer Drive Location. I was suppose to get a job at the Outer Drive Location back in the 80's with a buddy but passed on the long drive to Detroit. BUT, Then later when I moved to Detroit I took a job at Creative Industries at Lynch rd & Mt. Elliot location right after they changed the name to Masco-Tech. At the time the doors & other parts of the Building still had signs saying Creative Industries. Masco Tech had many different locations & one of them was at Purks drive in Auburn Hills near the Chrysler Tech Center. Many People transfered there to continue doing work for Chrysler. Masco -tech then changed there name to MSX. Then MSX got bought out & changed name again to QEK.  This is pretty much the same company doing all the same work as Creative Industries. Just different owners & different buildings. Do you know something I don't? LEON.
