Is anyone familiar with this mpfi system?

I contacted them and it works with the Firecore system so for around $2K I could get the whole efi system with a 700 cfm throttle body.  They have a 1000 cfm body as well but don't think that is necessary for my car.

is that just running a factory GM PCM or ?   I priced one out for a hypothetical EFI 440 build and it came out to $3,555.00 ---   that is with the programmable PCM - I have constructed an complete EFI system for way under $2000 using a MSII - the convenience is good but the price is not shockingl cheap for what the system allows  :Twocents:
1968 Dodge Charger - 6.1L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.55 Sure Grip

2013 Dodge Challenger R/T - 5.7L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.73 Limited Slip

1964 Dodge Polara 500 - 440 / 4-speed / 3.91 Sure Grip

1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye - 340 / A-518 / 3.23 Sure Grip

I'm not sure what it's based on but I'll find out.  I need to do my homework on efi and what I need upgrade wise.  I just want a system that makes a 440 start and run like a modern car no matter how long it sits or what the weather is like, and run as efficient as it can.  I'm not sure if I need upgradability for that but I don't know much about these things.

If you get a 750 holley vac sec tuned right it will give you performance and reliability you wont bother even thinking about EFI.

My 750 has 72 jets in primaries, 6.5 power valve manifold vacumn is 12 and rear plate is number 22. Do not know what the equivalent jet size is. Been on the dyno and this is the best combination.

You might find this hard to believe but in warm climate, starts, runs, drives away in 30 seconds without choke and when cold only need 1/2 choke for about a minute. I have alloy heads without heat crossover.

I have read  EFI does not give you extra HP over carb only reliability. If you want extra HP out of EFI you will need to upgrade injectors.

myk

I don't doubt that a 'carb setup can be made to run to the satisfaction of 99% of the car public, but EFI grants the user a level of efficiency that a 'carb could never touch; it's just a matter of old tech versus new...

Dino , mega squirt injection system , seqential injection ,
Can be done as a kit ,
And red mist did a thread on it, you can install in parts and let computer learn as you install parts of the system ,
My next big project once this car is on the road, spare victor junior intake has already been drilled and injector bungs welded in under runners for hidden look and could angle bungs more at heads

I like that, I'll do that next time!  :2thumbs:

Fy I also replied in the cold start thread.  I am in awe of what Redmist has done but I can't for the life of me understand what's going on.  It's just too complicated for me and I currently do not have the time to learn about this stuff.  Actually when I'm in school I try not to learn anything except that what I need to know.   :icon_smile_big:

After the winter my classes will be over for about a year so things may change then.  I have a lot to learn about all this and don't want to waste $2K.  I still have a lot to learn about cams and all that, luckily Ron told me which parts to get so that made it a whole lot easier, but I still want to learn more about this so that will be priority.

Once I'm done with grad school I can get serious with this car and have everything I want.  Efi, 6 speed manual, and a kickass stereo because I can barely hear my stock AM radio when I start the car.

TBI systems are great for drivibility, but suffer from fuel distribution issue just like a carb. Your still limited to a carb intake. Not sure if the MPG is worth the $2k

These are not sequential?  I thought they were.  I have no desire for a TBI system.

The system linked to is not TBI, injection is done in the runners. I haven't read the specs so I don't know if it's sequential. Usually low cost systems are "batch fire", they fire 4 injectors at a time regardless of where the intake valves open.

I reread it and it does not mention sequential or batch so I'll send them a message and ask.
