Help! I need to reinstall the glove box door and hinge on my '69. How are you supposed to get the hinge assembly in place and attached with the spring is fighting against you? I'm finding it impossible to get it in place because of the tension of the spring.
Does anyone have any tricks or tips?

I think I put the hinge on the door first. Then held the door and hinge in the open position while starting a screw. It's hard by yourself.

Never mind. I was overthinking this and was thinking I need to open up the hinge up to attach it to the dash.
I got it installed after I went inside and ate dinner.
I feel like a total moron!
