Feel really stupid I can't find the oil fill/ check plug on a 69 satellite diff
As I said crawled under the car .......feel real stupid any help :eek2:

Wow that was quick ,is the pumpkin the front or rear diff part , nothing on the back housing :shruggy:

Front, the part that connects to the drive shaft.  The housing has no plug.  Although it wouldn't be hard to add one if you wanted to.

Sorry must have brain fade , if it has no plug how do I top up oil.?

Through the pumkin's plug.  It's in the middle of the pumpkin so you stick a tube on the fill bottle and squeeze in the oil until it drips out, that's the level you need.  Emptying the thing is a bit trickier.  :icon_smile_big:

It's a pretty lousy design, but it does ensure you have the correct amount of oil in there.  Just make sure the car is level when you do this.  If you use stands then use four of them.
