Hi all - can't make my mind up on this one so here's a poll!

Lets say both cars were in the same condition ( good driver - not a show car ) and had basically the same options. What would you prefer? ( lets say both were auto cars... )

Looking forward to some results!
;)

I got in it for fun, not as an investment.

Go for the fun car!  The one you can drive and modify etc to suit your tastes ;D

Leave the numbers matching game for trailer queens etc

I voted on the numbers matching car. They are a little more rare and can still be driven all the time, least I would. Of course my vote would also depend on if either car was a 4spd too. I'd go for the 4spd then.

I think that I would be happy with either. Since my car is a 68 numbers matching 383 I have to stay loyal and vote for that. I think if you are putting a ton of money into a car restoration you want to have some level of confidence that you will get your money back should you ever have to sell.

bull

I'd be happy to have either, or both.

Old Moparz

The 440 car, & it wouldn't need to be the R/T version either.

Go beat the snot out of it & have some fun.

As long as the tag is there I'd go for the R/T

Sorry,  the poll wasn't supposed to be from an 'investment' point of view  :icon_smile_wink:

I want a 68 because I've loved them for about 20 years. Sold my Australian Valiant late last year to help fund a Charger purchase, but they're not exactly falling out of trees over here! So just want to make sure I buy the right one for me. Thought  this poll might help me decide... I have always been set on a Big Block Air /Console car - so I know that for sure; a 383 would be great...but I kinda like those stripes!

Thanks for all the comments/ votes - looks like the RT's have it so far...keep those votes coming!

Wouldn't change my vote Danny.  If you take the investment part out of the picture, then the matching numbers business becomes a moot point.  Cubes rule so I'd still pick the 440 car.

terrible one

You can make the car you get a big block car, and a console car, and you can put the r/t stripe on it too. This is, of course, if you don 't care for all original and aren't looking at it as an investement (which surely isn't wrong btw)

RD

i vote for the 383... maybe its just because i am dying to find a numbers matching car for once and attempt to keep it in its original state.

383's can be just as fun as a 440, you guys forget that?

I went for the 383 car, since I've already got the #'s 68 R/t w/two broadcasts. ;D
