Hood lights

Do the hood turn lights work in conjunction with other signal lights? I have converted my 70 into a 69 and have eliminated the side marker lights but now the hood turn signals won't work? I know the main connection between 69 and 70 were different so we just spliced the ends and plugged them in. Thoughts?

hood signals work with turn signal lights....they get power from the wires that go to the front turn lights
