I finaly gave up and decided to apply the bam margera method of music selection.
A friend badgered me untill I listened to the band HIM.
then on  whim I downloaded the 69eyes cd and they kick some royal ars!!
So what bands do you guys listen to that are great but havent gotten much publicity? Classic bands excluded that is :D

Go Finland go. As everyone knows those are Finnish bands  ;)
HIM I saw first time back in 1997 when they weren't so famous yet. I was sitting within a meter from stage drinking beer in almost empty bar on thursday night.

Speaking of finland, my brother in law just got back from there about a month ago.  He is an ACDC tribute band called Live Wire and there was this concert where a bunch of tribute bands played different ACDC albums.  He has been in small bands for 20 years, but this was the first time he ever got treated like a real rock star.  said he can die happy now.  Go Finland!!!

For all of the Long Islanders out there:

ZEBRA

Yes, they are still around. Though the gained most of their popularity in the NY-NJ area, the are actually from Louisiana. They made a new Cd about 2 years ago. I liked it. I saw them 3 times in New York in the mid to late 90`s. Twice in Kingston and in Poughkipsee (sp) after they put out Zebra 3.V   They typically did Zeppelin covers as encores and they were great!  Here is a link to their website.
