Maybe someone has their old original and can measure it??

Thanks.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Greg,
I did a quick check for them before you mentioned me.
I had the originals from the Daytona attached to a piece of cardboard in a plastic bag.
So this morning I did another search and nothing so far?
If I find them I will reply again!

Don't know about the Daytona but the originals on my bird were at least 1/16",possibly more. There is a lip on the edge that recesses the support, made of vinyl/rubber type material. The one's now are old N.O.S.,I'll measure them tomorrow if it helps.

My research indicates the #88 used hand made gaskets.
The outside looks jagged, not smooth like a production piece that was punched out.
Your close up pic helps!

Maybe a tire inner tube was used on the 88 ???   :scratchchin:

Or just simply some rubber stock that was laying around?    :scratchchin:

Tire inner tube will not work
I tried to cut up a piece of tractor tire tube for my clone wing and there was no place flat enough to make it work very well
Ended up getting something from hardware store to cut up

I have 3 used original Daytona gaskets, (I never throw anything out!). They measure .040 in the middle sections near the bolt holes.
The material has a plastic feel, not rubbery like a tire tube. WINGNUT

I know my first 'bird (not 'tona) had gaskets that reminded me of roofing (tar) paper? 1/16" (.062") or so.  Cannot confirm if original, but original B5 paint was underneath.
Mopar John will probably have both bird and 'tona originals.  I'm assuming same material was used for both.  We shall see.
