From the many pictures the seller posted it def looks
like a solid #2 car.......perhaps even a #3 car on
the Hagerty scale.

Opinions?

It'd be nice if I could see it first before I give an opinion on it   I will say that body style does look nice in Sublime green with black bumblebee stripe. :yesnod:

Green with green interior is more of a drawback than the distance.

I like green Mopars!  :icon_smile_tongue:  Lookie there.... I just said it again.  This must be the 100th time. :icon_smile_wink:   I even like Chargers in GREEN!  :D

"Don't deserve one"? Really Mike?

If you were joking then please disregard the following, if not
here's couple facts you couldn't know but should nonetheless
offset your vitriol.

Recently I had the pleasure of 2 spinal surgeries, one in June
the other in July. Three months later I'm walking fairly well
using just a cane now. I was able to transition from a walker
earlier than I thought but it was a fight all the way.
Every day gets a little better but at 60 my recovery will take
several more months at least.

I share this with you because I can't sit more than 45 minutes
before pain forces me to get up, move to a different kind of
chair or walk around.

Any kind of road trip or flight to another state to look
a car over just isn't in the cards for me for some time to come.

I'm pretty much restricted to the greater NorCal area of the PRK
to find a turn key automatic Dart. I won't be restoring anymore
cars for sure but I will find that sweet ready to drive and enjoy Dart in
geographical radius I'm stuck with.

Thanks for your wisdom and situational clarity.

Thanks for that link TT. Its got PRK plates so the
seller might be close enough to me to look the car over.
I sent the seller an inquiry so I'll find out.
My search for one of these in turn key condition is going
take a awhile............and be expensive too for a "get in and drive it"
ready car. Oh well, patience will pay off.

Hold out for a '68 or '69 GTS. That way you'll have two "S" cars. If you're really lucky, you can find a '69 in the same color scheme as your Charger.  :yesnod:

Strangely, the GT and GTS have better lumbar support than Charger seats, even though the buns are the same. Something about the stitching in the cover, I guess.

yeah needs loads of work  , but it was the price & it supposedly being a mr norms conversion  :-\ that made me take a closer look & post it here ,   think it will be a bit of a nightmare to use as a daily or something , fender wall headers  prolly reduced turning radius etc, manual steering  ,  think  the small block  340 is a much nicer set up in these A bodies  :Twocents:

Tom - I saw the pics.  I like it, maybe he'll take 10k or 11k.  Even 13k is reasonable (of course that depends on a test drive, and a good look over for leaks and hidden issues).

Both those cars are in the Greater LA area. Long trip from Sonoma County.

I've never trusted those fender well header installations that the alleged Mr. Norm's car has. How much torsional strength is left after those gaping holes are cut in the inner fenders? Those "stiffeners" to the firewall aren't going to do a thing except get in the way of working on the engine.

twodko

I haven't heard back from the Mr. Norms car owner but I was intrigued
about because it's a Mr. Norms car too. It's got to be a rocket with a
440 shoe horned in there. No telling how much work needs to go
into it to make it a fun driver.......or how hard it's been driven.

The car in Brea might be worth a look. The guy I bought my
69 from told me he'd take a look at possible buys in southern PRK.
RT plane fair is pretty reasonable from here to LaLa land......flights
every hour.

Okay, you got me....what does PRK mean?  Is it really the People's Republic of Kalifornia?  :icon_smile_big:

Yes, it is what you think it is.  The PRK is pure madness.

Many of us are looking at political asylum in Nevada or Texas.  Tom knows.

Well sir, I emailed the guy again about his availability. He finally
responded saying Sundays work best for him so if I can get a
buddy of mine to ride shotgun I'm hoping to check it out Sunday.
