Hi guys, is it possible to use big block hydraulic lifters in a small block?.
They have the same diameter and height. Did anybody try them?.Thanks!

Depends on who makes the lifters; on some, with a wide oil groove, the oil groove can be exposed at full lift and bleed off oil pressure.

Many aftermarket lifters are made so as to interchange between BB and SB Mopars and AMC.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

If you want to have longevity with this combo ,
spend the money at machining stage and bush the lifter bores , regardless of solid or hydraulic roller
search the threads on here ,
lots of posts and opinions from the qualified on here

Ok John, I have an extra set of Mopar big block lifters ( part #p4006767). The only diference with the small block lifters is the position of the oil groove.
