don duick

go to the engine section and look at heading 5th down (broken engine mounts heres the fix) you only need a strong mount on the drivers side

Don you referring to Rons engine mount bolt fix, yes works , ?
And cheap too , it's got a sticky ,

tiki

Thank-You that looks like it could help still need to buy a set

RGA

I have a stroker that kept ripping mounts, put some solid mounts in it. No more problems, no vibration either which I thought was weird. Figured I would have some vibration issues with the solid mounts.

yes.

I did this to my left mount and when watching my car on the dyno the engine was revved to 4800 and lifted up a noticeable amount. I cant understand how it lifted so much with a solid bolt in the mount. Had me worried a bit at first and had me wondering if a standard mount would have survived.

Dino

I got a stock mount, made in India, and put a torque chain on it as my old mount was ripped in half.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Those mounts solve the "excessive torque" problem quite nicely....but $160 for a set of mounts is more than a bit pricey, especially for a street car.  :brickwall:

Start with these, they'll work for 1966-72 B Bodies. If you need the brackets too, Ebay is a good source.

$3.97 ? this cannot be correct. I paid $50. for one mount. (Australia) and back in about 1985 when big block Chrysler parts were rare and hard to find I paid $100 for one mount. Which for me at the time was half of one weeks pay.

Mother #%£¥er, always the way
Whenever I restore a part or do it the hard way, it always gets reproduced or like these , the bolts I bought , damn could have bought a couple sets of these

These are just the standard mounts, they would still have to be modified like in Ron's thread......

These anchor mounts are made in Korea. Yes, Anchor is a US company in Ohio....and yes, that pisses me off.  :patriot:

That's why they're $3.97. I'd pay 4-5 times that price for a good quality USA made mount (like the factory installed mounts from Ma Mopar 45-50 years ago).
