If the fender tag reads B13 on a Charger with a 1968 VIN would we all agree that this means it was an early car built on November 13, 2007? If it was this month/day in 1968 then it would have been a 69 model. Or could a 68 have been built as late as 11/13/68 (I don't think so)?  Of course one could check other components for date castings but I'm asking this question based on fender tag info only. Thanks.

B13 on a 1968 model = November 13, 1967, without a doubt.

Chrysler's "production" calendar for the '68 model year started August 1, 1967 and ran thru July 31, 1968 (most plants ended production earlier in the month of July).

By 11/13/67 (B13)  the Hamtramck, MI assembly plant had produced 100,000+ Dodge & Plymouth vehicles (Chargers :boogie: & a-bodies).  I'm not sure a 2nd quarter produced vehicle would qualify as "early"?

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize they started the next year's production that early. Useful to know...
