Hey,
I recently took my 84 Mercedes 300SD on a 2500 mile roadtrip. she drove great. as a gift to the mercedes i was bidding on a set of eurpoean headlights. they are solid and the ones no my car are square sealed beam headlights, very ugly. there are no more on ebay, and they are pretty expencive, and sought after by the mercedes guys over here in the states. i was thinking that in europe these headlight wouldn't be so rare, and it might actuly be more cost effective to just have them sent from europe.

so any of you guys in europe know any good junk yards? the 300 SD is a 126 chassis.

heres a picture of the head light i'm looking for

That's a classic, you won't find em in junkyards, at least not in Holland. We rarely see them on the road as well these days. They must have already been crushed or bought up by collectors.

I'll try to look around but I think there is a difference between European and US models.

advantage of Mercedes and all european brands...

European industries have to keep new and quality replacement parts on stock and building while ppl still need them no matter years. Is a mandatory on European Comunity the replacement parts support...

beams on English model will be incorrect for US, however if you go with German or Frence/Italian you should be fine.
