Who has the most original looking hood insulation for 74 Charger

The 74 Charger SE I purchases recently does not have the hood insulation. My base model charger had a black, thick hood insulation that seem to be moulded around the underlying structure of the hood somewhat. I purchased a moulded hood insulation for B bodies from classic inductries. They sent the E body moulded hood insulation because they said the B body one is discontinued. However, it was grey and like a thin stiff material. Although it would have fit on the hood it was not at all like an original hood insulation. I sent it back. Anyone have any recommendations for one that is like OEM? I see a bunch out there in all different price ranges. I don't care so much about the price. But, has anyone found hood insulation that is fairly close to what originally came on the cars?

Don't have the answer, but... did they warn you about were sending the E body kind BEFORE send or simply is the one you got in hands and gave you the excuse in that moment?

They did not warn me. In fact the B body one was still on their web site and you can still order it. They look different.  When I called to complain that they send me the E Body one,  they said there is a note in the computer that the B body one is discontinued and to substitute the E Body Hood Insulation. I told them I didn't want it and it doesn't look correct at all and they gave me a return label to send it back to them.

Anyone find a reproduction hood insulation that is like the original?

Got mine from a fellow at Carlisle several years ago. It was something like $25 which I thought was a great price so I got 2.
Not molded but fit fine, I believe it is a REM. I can't see paying the ridiculous price for the molded one.

Who sells the REM hood insulation? I found one on ebay. Purchased it and then the seller told me they can't find it and is giving me a refund. The REM site seem to not have any purchase capabilities. Just an introduction to the company. Where is a good place to get the one in the picture?

Ask if it is the REM brand. They do carry that brand.

Is there any way to clean these to make it look better?  This original is from a '74 SE, is it the same as a '73?

Good question. I wouldn't get rid of it if it is original. I would be interested in what others have to say.
