I think Jim`s car is the most significant wing car from that era.A super star if you will.As the car is now it is like KISS with no make up.Just not the same....Put the colors back on.

I'm of the same opinion.  There are a lot of customs and race cars that I don't necessarily think MUST remain that way forever (sorry MCG) but some should and this is definitely one.

Hot Rod September 1978 and the muffler ad was Hot Rod August 1979.

I had that ad on my bedroom wall. I'll have to dig it out, frame it and put it on the garage wall.
I love that car in the blue/red paint scheme.
Who is the guy pictured in the ad? Is it the owner, at the time, of the Daytona?

That Daytona and article inspired me to build wing cars and built my 1st 'tona clone in metal the same color. Radke didn't live to far away from me as I was in Pasadena, CA at the time and with the the help from 3 well known mopar Mexicans (who own a original blue hemi 4 spd ' tona) I built the car then sold it a few years later...now in Alberta, Canada somewhere...with a Hemi in it I hear.

Jim owned this car twice.   Dave you are correct that this is the car Jim got as partial trade for the 2 Hemi Daytona's.

The F6 Car mentioned above did have the "Daiseys" on it when Jim had it.  My brother bought that car from Jim in 1984.  He never did get it off the ground (it was in pieces when he got it from Jim).  He subsequently sold to to Greg Joseph who then restored it as it appears in the pictures above.  My brother kept the "daiseys" and they ended up on a 71 Super Bee.

Chris ,thanks for setting the record straight. It's possible the car went back
to Jim in partial trade for his Hemi Daytona,s... Those daisies have to be the most
expensive in the world, I know I'd want them if I had Jim's petty blue masterpiece.
We talked briefly when you were out here in California with your red 68 Hemi
4sp Charger RT. My Daytona was one number behind yours...410768.

Sean it's nice seeing you on here again. We need your posts and vintage pics from
the vault. Jim said the green 440 was the best one he's ever owned... I knew
what he meant, he was talking condition wise... Jim's the " King of Wing " , he told
me he's owned 4 Hemi's over the years, the Petty Blue one, the Black 4sp, the
Orange Adam 12 one, and the one that was on the cover of the first Mopar Action...
He told me he sold the Mopar Action one before it ever made it out here in California.
