Just wondering what the arrow is pointing to, is?
I used to have a handle on life....but it broke off.

depending of the year... mine is a full one piece link straight from carb throttle bracket to the kickdown shaft on valve body. No articulated piece ( thanks God )

I thought however it was for the shifter when column shifter cars

So, if you have a manual valve body, should that be plugged?

Yes, manual valve bodies don't use kickdown.

No need to plug it, it's just a threaded boss with no connection to the inside of the trans.
