I'm going to order a 2015 Challenger. Yep, I'm going with the SRT 392, Shaker, Scat Pack.... my inner boy racer has awoken.

Does anyone have a good dodge dealer contact that I can deal with? I live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area but will work with anyone. I'd like to deal with someone at the exec level as they usually can work the best situation.

What I'm looking for is personalized service as I will be ordering from scratch.  I have tried to work with a local deal several (several times) but their customer service is REALLY bad. I'm looking to order now.

Thanks!

From what I've been reading lately, this is the go-to guy for Challengers, Hellcats and otherwise:

I ordered a HellCat today from Bob Frederick--thanks for the contact.

The car should be in between 3-6 months. This is going to be a loooooooooong fall.

I've been following where and who will take orders for the hellcat and Bob Frederick comes up as tops.  The last info I found (a few weeks ago) was he had 37 orders and taking more.  (at msrp).

Since I'm on the west coast I would prefer to buy from a local dealer and avoid the travel aspect involved with a dealer in Ohio.
It's my understanding that a dealers allocation is different than their ability to order a car.  [If that's incorrect please someone fill me in]

All the dealers I've contacted locally are stubbornly lying about availability, allocations, production limit numbers, etc. They all want thousands of dollars over msrp.
I suppose it's their best effort to get as much as they can from those that need to be first :shruggy:  Every contact I've made has told me the allocations (whatever they may be) have been sold.

So back to allocations. The first run can only supply so many cars to so many dealers.  I wonder how many allocations Bob Frederick has?  My assumption is less than 40? (the largest dealers around here may get 1 or 2 allocated). If that's the case than he is taking on orders that any other dealer can take. And 3-6 month wait for a car is a clue to that.

I say  :2thumbs: for Bob.  He is taking sales from across the country away from dealers that are not up to speed with the well informed hellcat buyer.

Since it looks like getting a car soon (at any price) is not likely I will continue to wait for the local dealer that wants to take my money to call me. And they will--I went through this when buying my 09 SRT.

How much coin does it take to buy a Hellcat?  I haven't heard the price on them.
1969 Charger 383/auto
1969 Charger R/T 440/auto (waiting to be restored)
1972 Chevelle SS clone 383 sbc
1959 Chevy Apache short bed stepside
1968 Charger (glorified parts car)
Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.

rumor has it that only 2 per dealerships, but where I heard that from I dont know.  Its like the 2014 SRT8 charger...only 1k made they say and alot of people were flying to different states to pick them up.  CEO Tom said there is not limit on hellcat the only limit is how much needs to be made by people who want them.  I have a hard time believing that one.....my local dodge dealer sold out the couple of SRT8 chargers they had and they claimed they couldnt take any orders for them....either way weird he has 37 orders thats going to be a long wait for them.

Only 1000 2014 SRT8 chargers? That sounds light. Our dealerships have been full up until recently. When we bought our 2012 SRT8 last year there were plenty of new ones to choose from. Now that I think about it a lot of them were Super Bee's- wonder if those are included?

If every dealer in the states got 2 cars that would be approximately 7000 cars. NOT HAPPENING!!!

At Moparfest it was CONFIRMED they had Originally planned 100 cars for CANADA for the first year. On the Sunday of the show they did admit they have decided to increase production but wouldn't say by how much??!
My guess is an additional 100 cars at most... For CANADA

I can't see the states getting much more than 2000 cars for the first year.
Hope I'm wrong!!

The car lists for 63,995 Canadian and iirc 59,995 US

Each Hellcat motor is Dyno tested for 42 mins at 90% load! they can't pop these cars out like hotcakes......

From what I understand the line is shut down once a week to run hellcats.

I placed my order July 24th and have been told to expect Spring delivery. In my case I ordered the late avaliability upgraded seats.

I don't think these cars will be sitting on lots for a few years, again Hope I'm wrong

Did your dealer sting you with extra charges?

NO!!!!
I dealt with Wellington motors they are the sponsor of Moparfest and have been a Dodge dealer for 75yrs :)
No BS at all with them, they wouldn't take my truck as my deposit until my build was assured!!
The owner of the dealership has 16 vintage Mopars including a Daytona :o

Very happy with them!!
Nothing added to my price other than options, and the Usual taxes and admin fees.
I paid MSRP for the car plus options

billschroeder5842

MSRP for me as well. About 62.5 for mine. Sublime, black interior and nav. That's it.

I love all the heresay...I guess we will all see.

If things go well, I'll fly from Dallas to Cleveland in March for a very fast ride home.
