LL1 1967 Coronet

(open attachment) Hello, Like many other life-long (pentastar in blood) Mopar fan I'm searching for more about my car - a LLI Dark Turquoise and White 1967 Coronet 440.... I purchased it a year ago from Memory Lane Motors near Tacoma, and it lived its entire life in Washignton state.  This car is a well preserved survivor, and being such, I wonder if any Mopar Fans body in the Northwest remember the car - or  can share some history about  it.  I've owned other Mopars but always liked 1967 Coronet 440's the best. The roots go back to my Dad owning one, and it was the first car I ever remebered as a kid. From what I understand, I am only the third owner of this car. Any history on how this car became a survivor after 38 years would be greatly appreciated.    My email is:  tufcat(at)netzero(dot)com. Thanks for looking.

You welcome a Coronet owner in this thread, but told an '06 Charger owner they were on the wrong site in the CHARGER thread? Hypocrite.
Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.
But before the General Lee there was me - Headrope.

That's an interesting color.  I've never seen it before.  Got anymore pics?

Yes This is a ''CHARGER SITE CORRECT'', but why would your Coronet be a mystery? we like all mopars, and
several members on this site have Coronets, we just mostly talk about Chargers  :icon_smile_big:

Yes, I have more pictures but don't want to overwehlm you guys - and thanks for letting me talk about my Coronet here.  I also appreciate all of your compliments on my car.  Speaking of Chargers, my brother has a very nicely restored 1972 Charger SE. The rare thing about it is that its a 400 4-speed brogham with a/c. I'll try to post some pictures of it tomorrow. The car has won several awards in Michigan including 2nd place at the Detroit Autorama and best of show in other Mopar shows, and has been in Building T at Carlisle two years ago.  Before my 1967 Coronet addition I also owned a very nicely restored 1972 Charger Rallye. I've always been a fan of Chargers. See my website www.rallyecharger.20megsfree.com for more pic of my Charger - before I had to sell it as part of my divorce! - UGH. That still hurts to talk about....

This coronet is more of a Charger than '06 4 door beast. Ignorant man.

Let me just add this, I WOULD DRIVE THIS CORONET ANY DAY rather than '06

I have been around Mopars Unlimited of Seattle for 17 years but don't know that car, nice ride.

Sliver just called someone else ignorant? :smilielol:  Oh God, I can't stand it, the Irony is just too much!

Seriously, though, sliver, there are other threads for posts like that.  Take it there, don't crap up this guys thread.

Back on topic, there isn't a chance in hell you'll overwhelm US with pics.  Although, I can't say the same thing about my internet connection...  What's the fender tag code for that color?

RTPTRON, on this site sold a 67 Coronet LL1 318 Survivor at Memory Lane Motors in Southcenter, and
he put Magnums on it. He did not own it that long.

8WHEELER - Wow - That's Gr-r-reat news about my Coronet! Thanks to all of you guys in the mopars Unlimited Club in Seattle for posting. I'll send RTPTRON a personal message. I also want to tell BadBob that your 66 Coronet on the track looked WAY COOL. I talked about my brothers 72 Charger in a previous post. Here are some pictures of it 'caus I know you guys love pictures. These were taken at the Detroit Autorama and the DaimlerChrysler Woodward Dream Cruise Charger Display. Thanks for looking.

triple_green

I think that is is RTTPon's car. The magnums are from his Charger and I sold him the redlines.

Triple Green, thanks for addiing to the thread. I think this is the same car. I emailed rtptron and hopefully he will say the same. By the way, you're right about the magnum 500's, but when I got the car it had whitewalls. I decided to put the redlines on (which isn't 100% kosher for a Coronet 440 model).  I know redlines where available on R/T's and magnums were optional. I'm almost positive that 440 models never had factory road wheels.  But as we know with Mopars by now - "never say never".  My car had the factory hubcaps in the trunk.

Nupe

Nice Coronet!  :icon_smile_cool:  Any more pics or maybe interior shot?  I love the lines of those cars and had a '66 Coronet for my second car.

Your bro has quite the nice '72 also.  Your '72 sure looked nice, but I'll leave it at that due to the parting circumcstances.  :icon_smile_blackeye:

'79 Lil'Red Express.

RTPTRON

Your Coronet is looking great with the red lines and my old Charger Magnums.  Your picture makes me kind of want it back.

I have a file, I think, with some history.  The guy I purchased it from told me that his dad purchased the car new from a dealer in the Alburn Valley in Washington.  I have the dealer name somewhere.  He was not very interested in the car and really did not have a place to keep it nice and dry.  It had been garaged since it was new.

I was the second owner. I really enjoyed the car, However, I decided to sell it after only about 6 months.

If I can find more detailed information I will send it to you.  Good to see that my old Coronet found a good home.

LL1 1967 Coronet

RON!!!!!! Thanks for posting...this is great news. I would really appreciate anything of record that you can give me to document the car. I will email you from work tomorrow morning with my home address and details. I have more pictures of this car, but they're too large to post.  I will email those to you as well. PS. I did get a document from Memory Lane Motors. It was the original Washington State registration from 1967.... by the original owner.  Anything else woul;d be great - and thanks for being such a considerate Mopar owner!!

Ghoste

Beautiful car.  If you haven't already, be sure and visit the Coronet Registry and put it in the database.  It's nice to see you found some history on it here.
